After our scrumptious dinner at El Toro, we head on to Haagen Dazs, Sunway Pyramid for some desserts. We had decided to indulge ourselves since it was for our Belated Valentines Day celebrations! To be honest, I had only ate Haagen Dazs three times in my life. Once was because of my birthday long time ago, once in Hong Kong Ocean Park when there were no other ice cream in sight, and another random time where Bug and I decided to upgrade from Baskin Robbins to Haagen Dazs. So I guess today, we had a yearning for luxurious ice cream today. Oh what a yummy decision that we had made!
We sat down at the cafe area in Haagen Dazs, and immediately, the waitress gave us the menu book which looks like this:

Bug had no doubt on what to indulge on in Haagen Dazs. Look at the page he immediately turned to, without perusing the other options in the menu! No prizes for guessing who has the sweet tooth in this relationship, huh?

FYI, Haagen Dazs also sells other desserts, such as chocolate sundaes, and banana splits and sorts. I'm sure I didn't do their products any justice, but I could not remember the names of their other products. Check out their menu here, eventhough it didn't look like the updated version to me. Check it out and drool at their pictures nevertheless! Hehe!
The fondue took quite awhile to be prepared, so we had pictures to document the sweet memories of tonight's dinner!

And not long after that, the fondue came. We were so excited!! Yay! The fondue looks better than I had imagined it to be. It came with:
- 16 scoops of ice cream, divided between strawberry, vanilla, belgium chocolate and cookies&cream;
- butter cake
- choco sticks
- chocolate chip cookies (Mmmmmm....)
- Assorted fruits (Strawberries, bananas, apples)
- Almond nibs

It was a really HUGE portion for two people! It will get a little heaty, so have glasses of water for standby.
We had a photo shot for both of us before we became barbarians and digged into their chocolate fondue!

Verdict: The chocolate fondue in Haagen Dazs is one of the best I had ever tasted in my entire life! They were pretty generous with their chocolate dip, Bug was helping himself to every last drop in the bowl! I'm quite surprised that their ice cream don't really melt even though it was exposed to room temperature. Their portions were really BIG, way TOO big for two people. But we sure are not complaining. It was beautifully arranged too. Price wise is a little steep, but a treat once in awhile is good for the soul.
After all, who can't say no to desserts? :p
Definitely a sweet ending, for an awesome Valentines Celebrations. Highly recommended to come with your date as it is sure to impress her! What could be more romantic than to share a fondue while feeding each other strawberries? :)
